CO₂ and O₂ Monitoring with the Sub MkIIIF
The Sub MkIIIF provides critical monitoring of oxygen (O₂), carbon dioxide (CO₂), temperature, humidity, and pressure, making it suitable for both hyperbaric and hypobaric applications.
The system consists of a central display unit and can be connected to up to three remote sensor modules (REMs).
REM Units
REM 1 measures:
- Oxygen (O₂)
- Carbon dioxide (CO₂)
- Pressure

The Sub MkIIIF can also be configured as an O₂ controller, automatically maintaining oxygen concentrations at a preset level.
The controller is typically used to maintain chamber oxygen concentration or oxygen levels delivered through a BIBS system on an SRV.
Power and Operation
A large graphic display on the operator console shows the value of each measured parameter, associated units, and alarm set points. Two independent audio and visual alarm channels are available for each monitored parameter.
The REM units also provide local in-chamber displays of monitored parameters and repeat alarm indications.
The Sub MkIIIF operates from a 9–24 VDC power supply, with an optional AC mains power configuration available. The operator console is designed to provide power to the REM units. This requires five cores through a penetrator (two power and three communications). Alternatively, the REM units can be powered locally.
In standard operation, the Sub MkIIIF monitors the atmosphere using diffusion sampling, eliminating the need for pumps and reducing maintenance requirements.
