O₂ Monitoring with the HYP

Classification societies and industry guidelines within the commercial diving sector require hyperbaric chambers to have an independent means of monitoring oxygen (O₂) levels in the event that the primary monitoring system fails.

The HYP is a portable PPO₂ monitor designed to provide independent oxygen monitoring and help operators meet these requirements.

Oxygen Sensor

The HYP’s compact design makes it ideal for installation in confined spaces such as diving bells and hyperbaric lifeboats, while also allowing it to be easily carried and used as a portable monitoring device.

Designed for simplicity, the unit features a single push-button for power on/off operation and a clear LCD display for easy viewing of oxygen levels.

The HYP can be used at depths of up to 600 MSW (2,000 FSW) and is equally suitable for operation at surface pressure, providing flexible oxygen monitoring across a wide range of hyperbaric applications.

Applications

The HYP is used for partial pressure oxygen (PPO₂) monitoring across a range of hyperbaric, marine, and defense environments, including:

  • Commercial diving operations
  • Diving support vessels
  • Hyperbaric chambers
  • Diving bells
  • Ships and marine platforms
  • Hyperbaric lifeboats
  • Submarines
  • Submarine atmosphere monitoring systems

Its compact design, reliable oxygen sensing technology, and suitability for use at both surface pressure and extreme depths make it a trusted solution for safety-critical oxygen monitoring applications.
